Fantastische Erfahrung: When my then 5-year-old son wanted to join his friend in the German Top Team for training, I was initially open - and then a little shocked. The cage that "adorns" the training room initially frightened me off, as did the fact that training is carried out with full contact. BUT: Meanwhile I am thrilled, because the children are taught that you have to be considerate of yourself and others, that you are responsible for yourself and your health and that Shidokan Karate has nothing to do with wild fights. Respect, discipline, consideration for the weaker and still knowing how to defend yourself at the right moment - a great combination for me. Since February 2018 I have been training with Peter Angerer and have NEVER had to share any of the worries that you would expect as a woman (hard sport, risk of injury, unwanted body contact ...)! Because this team is not about showing who is the best and strongest and letting this ability "hang out". On the contrary: everyone is incredibly helpful and considerate. All in all, I was able to shed many prejudices and clichés about MMA, full contact sport and also that there are many "socially difficult" people in this sport. At least that's not the case with the GTT!
